Project Overview

Our senior design project, building blocks and subcircuit with Magnetic Field Generators (MFG), is about creating optical and electrical circuits that can be implemented into existing technologies. As a team our focus was on two specific types of circuits. The first was a magnetic pulse circuit that is able to produce a 500 Gauss magnetic field in less than 100 nanoseconds. The second is to experiment with a optical system, via a Sagnac loop, and how it will coincide with our MFG design. These circuits will be useful because we are attempting to increase the speed of routing optical systems, which is used in many industries, like the internet industry.
